A New Year, A Growing Vision: An Update from Socialode

As we step into a new year, all of us here at Socialode want to take a moment to pause, reflect, and most importantly, say thank you.
To everyone who has supported Socialode over the past year, whether you’ve signed up early, followed our journey, shared feedback, or simply believed in what we’re building, your support truly means more than I can put into words.
What we’re creating is something deeply personal, and seeing people from all over the world resonate with this mission has been incredibly humbling.
Socialode was born from a simple but powerful idea: the more digital we become, the more isolated we often feel. While technology has connected us globally, it hasn’t always helped us feel connected personally. We set out to change that, not by creating another social media platform, but by opening an entirely new space: the friendship market.
There is currently nothing on the market doing what Socialode is doing. We’re building a platform designed specifically for making genuine friendships on a global scale, without pressure, without performance, and without the superficial layers that traditional social media has normalized.
Just real people, connecting over shared interests, curiosity, and conversation.
What We’ve Been Building - New Year Update from Socialode
The past year has been one of the most transformative periods for Socialode.
Our team has grown significantly and now spans multiple countries and continents. Despite being physically scattered across the world, we’re deeply aligned by a shared belief: something is fundamentally broken in how digital communication works today, and loneliness is one of its biggest symptoms.
Our primary goals this year were twofold:
Expanding and strengthening our team
Integrating advanced AI into the core of Socialode
This second goal is one of the reasons we intentionally delayed a public launch. AI has evolved rapidly, and we recognized early on that it could meaningfully improve the user experience in ways that simply weren’t possible before.
Some of the key areas we’ve been developing include:
Language translation: allowing people to connect across cultures and countries without language barriers
Smarter interest-based matching: so conversations start with genuine common ground
Enhanced privacy and security protections: ensuring users feel safe, respected, and protected
Abuse prevention and moderation systems: designed to maintain a healthy and welcoming environment
Every decision we’ve made has been driven by care, for the product, for our users, and for the real people behind every conversation.
Where We’re Headed Next
With a new year update from Socialode, we’re currently finalizing development of the first public version of the Socialode mobile app, and we’re incredibly excited about what’s coming next.
Because of the progress we’ve made, 2026 will also be a year where we begin a funding campaign to help accelerate development and bring Socialode to the world faster. We truly believe what we’re building has the potential to reshape how people think about digital connection, not as a popularity contest, but as a human experience.
There’s an untapped opportunity here. Much like pulling back a curtain, people are beginning to realize that beyond traditional social media lies something else entirely, a new way to connect, make friends, and feel less alone in an increasingly digital world.
Looking Forward
Loneliness continues to rise every year. Mental load, isolation, and the pressure to “perform” online have become common experiences.
Socialode exists to push back against that, to bring digital communication back to what it was always meant to be: human.
We’re building this platform with heart, intention, and purpose, and we couldn’t do it without you.
